How it works

Four steps from a folder
to a board that keeps itself.

Point it at your folders

Scan a parent directory and the AI proposes projects — a name, an icon, a color and the folder they live in. Or add them by hand.

Start an agent from the + menu

New agent lists your projects. Pick one and a tab opens in that directory with your CLI agent already running in it.

The board follows the session

The card slides to In Progress while the agent works and comes back the moment it needs you. Nothing to drag.

Resume any session, later

Every Claude Code session on disk is listed with its title and directory. Pick one and it reopens with claude --resume — even if its tab is long gone.

Everything stays where you can reach it.

No account required, no database you cannot open. The board is a file on your disk, the agent is the one you already installed, and sync happens only if you turn it on.

Projects are directories
A project is a name, an icon, a color and a folder. Every task belongs to one, so starting an agent already knows its working directory — you type the path once, not once per task.
Your data stays a file
The whole board is plain JSON at ~/.kanbannn/tasks.json. It diffs, it backs up, it survives a logout, and it never needs an account to exist.
Tabs that show agent state
Vertical tabs tint themselves with each pane's live agent status and carry their project's label, so a wall of sessions tells you at a glance which one is waiting on you.
Agents move their own cards New
Run agent hands Claude Code the board over MCP. The agent reads its task, updates its status and ticks its own checklist, without you relaying a thing.
Sync when you want it New
Point the board at a Kanbannn server and it syncs two ways with the web app and your other Macs. Leave the server empty and nothing leaves your disk.

What holds

It runs on your machine, with your agent, on your files.

No account, ever

There is no sign-in, no telemetry wall and no server holding your board unless you set one up. Delete the app and your tasks are still a JSON file where you left them.

Bring your own agent

Kanbannn drives the CLI agents already on your machine. It ships no model and asks for no key, so a run stays on your own plan and your own rate limits.

Signed and notarized

Every release is Developer ID signed, notarized by Apple and stapled, so the disk image opens without the right-click dance and without a warning about an unknown developer.

Point it at the project you keep forgetting to finish.
